Our practice is committed to ensuring the growth of midwifery care in Ontario by providing practical learning opportunities for students of the Ontario Midwifery Education Program.
Our clients (you!) play a vital role in their education, and although we hope you will enjoy being part of their learning experience, we will always respect your wishes about their involvement in your care.
OUR CURRENT STUDENTS:
(Preceptors: Paula & Claudia)
My name is Christi Baker. I am a fourth year midwifery student affiliated with Laurentian University in Sudbury. I am completing my senior year here at Ottawa South Midwives.
I grew up in the Belleville area where my son was born with the help of midwives in 2009. Prior to this degree, I attended Trent University in Peterborough for Nursing. I also spent some time at Queens University in Kingston studying general science.
When I am not studying or working in placement, I enjoy spending time with my son, my golden retriever, family and friends. I spend a lot of time working out at the gym, or doing other active hobbies. If I can find the extra time and manage to sit still, I also love to get crafty, usually scrapbooking or crocheting.
I am beyond excited and privileged to be here doing what I love.
