Born in Saskatchewan, I have lived most of my adult life in Montreal, Quebec. I worked as a Registered Nurse at the Montreal General for my early career but inspired by friends in Montreal having babies at home with midwives, I went off to England to study midwifery. I qualified in 1988 and worked a short time in London and then at the Riverside Hospital here in Ottawa as a nurse-midwife. I completed the Prior Learning Education Assessment and became a Registered Midwife in Ontario in 1999. I have worked in Ottawa ever since! As a founding partner of Ottawa South Midwives, I am committed to serving women and their families living in this fast-growing and ever-expanding community.
I live in the country and love to walk in the forest. Inside my house, I enjoy cooking and reading.
